Turning Over the Keys

After 37 years, Moe Garcia is retiring. The heavy equipment mechanic is teaching Tony Ramirez, a 5-year employee, the ropes. Garcia is known around the Helotes Quarry for his signature mustache but most importantly, his tireless work ethic. After turning over the keys to Ramirez, Garcia plans to spend more time enjoying his woodworking hobby. Garcia’s advice to the next generation is “do everything the right way. Stay safe. That’s the Vulcan Way.”
