When Vulcan’s ready-mix drivers hit the road, they’re equipped with the latest technology and safety features, as well as the knowledge that the rest of the Vulcan team always has their back. One look at Vulcan’s advanced ready-mix fleet and it becomes clear that safety is the #1 priority at Vulcan.

Each of Vulcan’s ready-mix trucks is outfitted with all the features necessary to keep the truck’s driver and the other drivers they share the road with safe. Anti-lock air disk brakes improve the truck’s stopping capability, back up cameras and smart back up alarms ensure that the driver is aware of the entirety of their surroundings, and DriveCam systems allow fleet managers to identify and correct risky driving behaviors before any problems arise. At Vulcan, no expense is spared when it comes to safety.

In addition to these technical features, Vulcan’s Ride-Along program contributes to the driver’s peace of mind by demonstrating the commitment that Vulcan employees of all levels have to each other. The program is an opportunity for senior members of Vulcan’s staff (from managers to vice presidents) and their employees to bond and learn from each other in the confines of a ready-mix truck cab. This instills a sense that all Vulcan employees have each other’s back and will do their best to be their “brother’s keeper.”
